Before the improvements, the centre had no electricity or access to clean running water, making it incredibly challenging for healthcare staff to provide essential medical care. Our grant helped fund the installation of solar panels, bringing reliable electricity to the building for the first time, along with a fresh water supply and improved sanitation facilities.

The impact has been life changing. Mothers are no longer forced to give birth in darkness using only candles or torches for light. Medical staff can now work in a brighter, safer environment with access to clean water, greatly improving hygiene standards for patients and healthcare workers alike. New toilet and washing facilities have also enhanced the comfort and wellbeing of everyone using the centre.

This project is a powerful example of how relatively modest improvements can make an extraordinary difference, providing better healthcare and brighter futures for an entire community.
