Helping a family rebuild their lives

The Silver Lady Fund provided a grant to help a mother and her three young children begin a new chapter after escaping domestic abuse.

Forced to leave their home with only the clothes they were wearing, the family relocated to a different area to ensure their safety, leaving behind their belongings and support network. After spending time in temporary accommodation, they were finally offered a permanent home. However, the property was completely unfurnished, with no beds or essential household appliances.

Our grant funded beds for the family, giving them a comfortable and secure place to sleep. Additional support from other charities helped provide basic furniture and essential household items, allowing the property to become a home.

With a safe place to live and the essentials in place, the family can now focus on rebuilding their lives, creating new opportunities and looking ahead with hope and confidence.
